The Kenyan Ramogi Community in Canada-Edmonton (KRCC-E) has realized the need to give future leaders and opportunity through supporting the youths in Kenya achieve their dream goals. It is realistically important to note that these children a number of them have been left orphans due to both parents deaths hence depends on their old grandparents to care for them. Some of the children in the society do not even have close relatives to support them upon the deaths of their close relatives and have been subjected to drop out of school and do menial jobs to support themselves. Some have been forced to get into early marriages by very old men who are either polygamous or retirees with nothing to show off. Sex slave: Young girls have been subjected to under-age sex slaves, a situation which is very risky considering the negative impact of related diseases as they are made to compete on unprotected sex to please men ego. Others have been forced to work as Nannies at very young age as the only means to support the rest of siblings. In that regard, Ramogi Community have the desire to ensure that such children are identified and put back to school and at least even finish high school. Under this program, KRCC-E will be engaging the general public to accept donations in form of Books, Clothing, shoes, school supplies, sanitary pads to ensure such children do not feel neglected. We accept toys as some of these children have never seen what a toy looks like and have completely no means to impact their learning process.
