Dear Ramogi Community,
Friends of Ramogi Community and
Stakeholders,
It is my pleasure to welcome you all. On behalf of the Kenyan Ramogi Community in Canada- Edmonton (KRCC-E), I would like to express my sincere thanks to the governing council of Ramogi Community, the Edmonton Region for appointing me to guide this community to the next level based on the principalities that were laid down by the founding members in Ontario-Canada. In particular, I would like to thank those members who have dedicated their potential time and effort to open up Ramogi Community Chapter here in Edmonton Alberta. Your significant contribution in kind have made this organization move aggressively fast and ensuring that your unity of purpose has brought us to this end. Your efforts is much evidenced looking at it that now we are launching a special website of its kind with clear vision that unites us all here in Canada and those back in Kenya and across the globe. The numerous list of intended projects you have listed here are all attainable with same team spirit you have dedicated yourselves with. As I take this huge task of presidency, may I honorably say that I will not let you down.
It is my desire to move on with one accord and identify key areas that we can tackle based on the Ramogi Community Vision and Mission Statement. I believe in collective effort and with the spirit of harambee (pulling together) that all is possible and within our reach. My first term in this volunteer role is to ensure that we register as many members as possible and coordinate with other like minded neighboring cities within Alberta where Ramogi families are, to come together and move as Alberta. We are laying strong foundation in reaching out to our brothers and sisters within Alberta through continuous network via Social media and monthly meetings to have all join the Ramogi Community Train which is already on the go.
Here in Ramogi Community, we talk and act with one voice. We will build good networking links with other like minded Community Organizations both locally and Internationally with similar stake to ensure that we don't live in isolation on this century. We will be working hand in hand with relevant Government Institutions as its it enshrined in our constitution. Canada indeed is our second home that allows the diversity of cultures and traditions which has driven us to initiate the Ramogi Community here without fear. It would be wonderful that we offer the best of our culture in this society and be identified on the Canadian map.
May I urge each one of you to give Ramogi Community in Canada (KRCC-E) an objective and careful consideration to the the many projects and programs so identified to help uplift our standard. In the spirit of open discussion and willingness to cooperate in achieving our goals, Ramogi Community in Canada will leave a humble landmark that will be plausible to our future generations. Once again my I thank all of you for accepting to be part of this magnificent community by continuing to donate your membership and any such which has helped the group move to where we are currently.
To our kind supporters, may you continue reaching out to our calls for donations and keep attending the initiatives we put before. Without you and the immense support, Ramogi Community would have not reached this level. Lastly to our youth members who have displayed the talents in sporting events, dancing in keeping with our traditions, volunteering at the hours of need, yours has changed and made our programs acquire more friends and a pool of network in various capacities. keep it up as together we can and united we stand.
To the general, as you all know that we share same values, we will be able to adopt sound, sustainable and successful measures which will significantly contribute towards realization of our vision and thus allowing us to pass on to our children who are the future leaders. Let us make a history that will be significant to identify who we are as a community with a conscious value of our richness and diversity.
Yours Sincerely,
John Vorster
President-Edmonton Region
